Taddle Creek is Turning Ten
Yes, it’s true: Taddle Creek is turning ten. Never one to rest on its laurels, the magazine has assembled the most incredible, all-new, giant-sized, amazing anniversary issue ever seen in the history of Toronto literary magazines. Weighing in at a big 72 pages, Taddle Creek’s Christmas, 2007, issue features new fiction and poetry by its more frequent contributors, including Suzanne Alyssa Andrew, Gary Barwin, Tamara Faith Berger, Alex Boyd, Chris Chambers, Dani Couture, Andrew Daley, John Degen, Elyse Friedman, Camilla Gibb, Kerri Huffman, Derek McCormack, Marguerite Pigeon, Patrick Rawley, Stuart Ross, Emily Schultz, Paul Vermeersch, Adrienne Weiss, David Whitton, and Elana Wolff. Taddle Creek will, of course, be celebrating its anniversary in style—and you’re invited. Please join Taddle Creek on Wednesday, November 28th, at the Gladstone Hotel ballroom, 1214 Queen Street West, starting at 8 p.m. Ever-so-brief readings will be performed by Gary Barwin, Chris Chambers, Dani Couture, Patrick Rawley, and David Whitton, with music by the Eradicators. There will also be door prizes, and maybe cake. Admission, as always, is free, free, free.

The tour was great. I’m now back at home in Toronto. Met great folks, ate great food. Case and point, the biscuit below. Warm biscuit, fresh butter, sharp cheddar. Now, I would have brought one home for you, but I think the butter would have melted in my pocket. Next time, okay?
